My new Proenza schouler PS1 bag - Review

If you read my last post, you probably noticed that I was carrying my new Proenza Schouler PS1 bag.

I have wanting to buy a new designer handbag for a really long time, and Chanel ,Celine, Balenciaga were all on top of my wish list, but at the end, I chose this Proenza Shouler PS1 bag, in black color, medium size.  I was trying to look for some detailed review of this PS1 bag when I was making my decision, but I couldn't find much on line. So, for those who also thinking about to purchase a Proenza Sschouler or just any designer bag, I hope this post could be of help to you.

One thing I love the most about the Proenza Schouler bag is its storage place. The bag has three compartments, so really allows my to organize my stuff, and avoid fishing all around the bag when I really need something (which I really hate, especially when it's urgent!).  I put my headphone and cardholder in the first compartment, and my Blackberry and phone in the second one. The largest  / main compartment hold my wallet, calender, Kindle, etc, and it still has plenty room after that.  The sales told me that the PS1 medium size bag is large enough to put your Ipad in (and I once put my Nikon DSLR in it).

The leather is really soft, of high quality. But I think with this messenger style of it,  this is the kind of bag that I do not need to take extra care of, and or afraid of getting any scratch. In fact I feel the more I use it and the more slouchy it gets, the better it looks. Kind of giving a "I don't care" attitude.

Proenza Schouler bag comes in many colors, and I think each season it will come out with different colors and some times different patterns. But I just feel that if I were to purchase an expensive designer handbag, I would like it go well with most of my wardrobe, that's why I chose black.

My only concern before I purchased this bag is that the style might be too casual and a little boy-ish, it might not go well with some girly looks. But as you can see, I think it really works great with any style, be it T-shirt and jean short or soft dresses.

Shopping therapy

It's been a really messed up week....
Nothing goes well at work, I got sick early this week and on top of that I failed my CFA exam... SHIT!!!!!  Seems the only thing that could cheer me up right now is the shopping therapy, and thank God, it is the sales season now! (I told my boyfriend the other day that my 4 favourite letters in English are S*A*L*E, I think he was totally speechless :P)

I got this dress recently at Club Monaco. I went into Club Monaco store thinking I'm gonna get some great pieces that are on sale. However, after all the stuff I tried on, I ended up with this full-price dress (Oops...) But I just think this dress is so me, and I have to have it.  Besides I think this soft flowy fabric will balance well with my chunky white heels.

Little miss sunshine

I  was never a big fan of maxi dresses before. It's like suddenly something hit me this summer, and I fell totally in love with maxi dresses. So much so that I bought 3 of them within 2 weeks..... (two of them are from FCUK).

So here are the photos of the first one. (From French Connection)
I went to Sanya for a friend's wedding this summer, and I thought what better occations to wear this maxi dress than a summer wedding. You can see the newly-wed couple taking photos in the background. Sorry guys, too busy taking photo myself, couldn't join you ;P

What I like the most about this dress is its color. Bright yellow & orange. Couldn't get more summery than that. I feel like sunshine on me when I'm in this dress.

Little White Dress

My boyfriend and I went ICC several weekends ago for a movie. After which we took a walk on the rooftop. I have lived in Hong Kong for almost 7 years now, and just realized probably this is the best view of Victoria Harbour you can every find in HK.

Weather here in HK is getting better, a lot of sunny days, really great sunshine. But at the same time, it's also very hot. So I decided to dress something simple yet summery. And what can be more summery than a cute Little White Dress.

I paired my little white dress with a statement necklace with a lot of colors, which has a sort of a tribal feel and some how reminds of Tibet (though I've never been to Tibet...), so that the white dress will not look too boring.

A little advice for OLs, who begin to grow a little tummy due to long time sitting in front of computer and lack of work out like me (or any women that has a slightly larger lower body for that matter), a shift dress like this one will be a great choice for you, as this does not accentuate your waist or your hips, and mono-color look is the most slimming. You know, it's all about dressing for your own body shape.
